Chest Protector
Chest Protector is required for Women Kumite in all age groups. It is optional for recreational divisions for men above junior (16) age in recreational divisions. It is mandatory in Elite divisions at all ages. Some tournaments make the chest protection optional for all ages. It is best to see each tournament’s policy.
WKF Events require WKF-Approved Protectors.
NKF Events require WKF-Approved Protectors except as stated above.
AAU, WUKF Events require WUKF-Approved gear, but they are generally flexible as long as it is not WKF.
There are many brands that are approved for WKF - so the models here are not the only ones you are allowed to pick.
