FSKA World Tournament - November 14 to 16, 2025
This year’s International tournament will be held in beautiful Portugal, November 14-16!
Invitation to participate in the
25th FSKA/FSKAW World Championships, November 14,15,16
Dear WSA Students,
You are hereby invited to represent WSA, FSKA and USA in the upcoming 25th FSKA World Championships.
The competition takes place on November 14, 15, 16 in Almada, Portugal. Our dojo is invited to participate with our athletes and officials.
To participate as referee or judge (black belt only) there are some benefits such as free meals. The judge and referee refereeing guide is here. Competition Team will arrange Judge and Referee training for participating officials. It is important to participate in this way to enable the event and show commitment to our Organization and growing our presence in school and students.
The full set of rules of the tournament, including equipment requirements and other useful information are in the bulletin for the tournament.
Considering the financials’ and possible delay with money transfer, the signups must be completed by end of September from our dojo and we will signup directly with the organizers. As the categories have a rank range, the rank you sign up with will be matching your rank as of end of September 29.
Note: the dojo’s insurance policy does not cover students practicing Karate outside of our locations.
In such, please double check your health insurance policy and the coverage it offers overseas.
Most insurance plans offer comprehensive service overseas, comparable to “out of network” coverage within the country. You should clarify and make sure, if you are considering participation in the tournament.
The Dojo will handle the signups and charge the students participating via Zen Planner billing.
Please check below the fees per category:

Useful Information:
From Seattle Airport (SEA), the easiest destination to get to is the Porto Airport (OPO). You can find flights by Delta Airlines and SAS with only one stop, total duration ~13 hours. In Porto, you can get a flight (1 hour) to Lisbon Airport (LIS), but its much easier and cheaper to go by train (about 2:30h).
Flights to Lisbon are much more expensive and there are a minimum of 2 stops. But you will be closer within Portugal.
Almada is south of Lisbon right after crossing the bridge.
