Kumite Belts are generally light weight. Other than certifications, they do not have specific requirements other than the Rank-specified.

• WKF Events require Red and Blue belts, matching the shoulder embroidery. All belts need to be WKF-Certified.

• NKF require Red and Blue belts but does not specify WKF-requirements, except for Elite divisions that follow WKF rules.

• WUKF require Red and White belts and requires WUKF approved belts. However, they are generally flexible as long as the belts do not specify WKF.

• AAU events require Black Belt, Brown Belt, Purple belt and Yellow belt, depending on the division and rank.
